Yes was easy removing CRT - did it as a whole and took it to the tip. TheLCD screen is a Dell 15" with the outer bezel removed and the button panel relocated to the side of the iMac where you'd normally find the USB ports etc.

Hi, I have tried changing the system def - but still unable to download Sierra - its just said an error has occurred - I couldn't update anything - so I switch the system def back to Mac 3.1 and was able to update El Capitan at least. anyone got any idea's?

Hi, before my mirror door PowerMac g4 mod, I had a iMac G3 that I did a mod on. basically converted a iMac G3 into a TFT monitor. managed to relocate the buttons to where the USB ports should be.

OK, clean install worked. Now have system running perfectly apart from an iTunes error 50, which I have just found a fix for in another form on this site.
