+1 Im using the same patch and seeing the same symptoms on my Elitebook 840 G6. SMCBatteryManager works better for me then ACPIBatteryManger.kext, because with ACPIBM my power cable plug/unplug doesn't get detected. Please if anybody find a fix, better patch or else, please please post here...

@RehabMan thank you alot for this kext, was waiting for something like this for ages After I updated my Sierra to HSierra skipping conversion to AFS this kext worked for me great, now after new (clean) install it doesnt work at all..I tried a million things..Maybe the problem is in AFS...
