<< Solved >> Nvidia Web drivers causing fan speed to cycle

Final update for anyone that cares. I tried as many combos of Nvidia web drivers (and not) and boot flags as I could possibly imagine, with no luck. I just couldn't get the 770 to respond. I eventually gave up and bought a budget 1050 card and plopped it in. Booted with web drivers, and...

MSI GTX770 Fan speed keeps cycling

Update, I tried uninstalling web drivers, and booting using every combination of gpu boot flags with no luck. went out and got a budget current gen nvidia gpu and popped it in, and zero bugs. i have no idea, but it might have just been an incompatible card, or perhaps it was just going bad...

<< Solved >> Nvidia Web drivers causing fan speed to cycle

Just an update, I uninstalled nvidia web drivers and took my gpu out. I was trying to get the gui glitch to disappear. However, after many combinations using the onboard graphics, using both I wasn't able to get rid of the glitch. So now I have found the only time I have gotten rid of the...

<< Solved >> Nvidia Web drivers causing fan speed to cycle

Hello, been searching for a fix for bit, hopefully someone here can help. My system is a 18,3 definition imac, aorus z390 ultra, core i9 9900k, with an MSI geforce gtx770 from my last build. Currently running 10.13.6 High Sierra. Most everything is working, and I was able to install nvidia web...

[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

Hello, will this work on an already (mostly working) build? I have the same mobo with a i9 9900k, running 10.13.6. My USB's are mostly functional, but am having some issues with certain USB controllers and I was told it might be because I don't have the 15 port limit. Thank you for any help...

MSI GTX770 Fan speed keeps cycling

Core i9 9900k, Z390 Aorus Ultra, and the aforementioned GTX 770. Everything is running swimmingly, but my GPU fan speed will constantly rev up to high RPM then cycle down, probably every 4 seconds or so. This happens when I boot with nvda_drv=1 and use Nvidia web drivers. If I go with...

    Pre-BIOS boot loop, bad mobo?

Honestly this was my thought, but troubleshooting this sort of thing hasn't been my forte so I wanted to check. Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have extra gear to test everything out on.

    Pre-BIOS boot loop, bad mobo?

Hey all, so my el cap build has been running like a champ, first on Mavericks, then to Yosemite where I've been working just fine (on Yosemite for 4 years now). I came home the other day, and it was stuck in a boot loop, failing to get to BIOS. I cleared cmos and restarted with no luck. Pared...

    Potential dead motherboard?

So, CMOS reset using a jumper didn't work, using CMOS reset button didn't work, but I tried one last time using the button during power on, and it seemed to do the trick. Not sure why. Thank you for the help. Now I just gotta get the OS to boot again, as it freezes halfway through.

Pro Tools Native Card not recognized by OSX

Well, for anyone who might read this, I found the problem. To start off, OSX still will not show the Native card as connected to the system via PCIe. It does work however. The problem I was having ended up being in my iLok. While it was perfectly functioning before my build/re-install...

Pro Tools Native Card not recognized by OSX

As the title says, my Avid Pro Tools Native card isn't recognized by my system when I install it. The build has been really stable thus far, but system report doesn't acknowledge that the card is even plugged in. I removed the card and brought it to a friends studio, and it showed up on the...
