Everyone in the tonymacx86 community, how are you all doing? I hope everything is well. I've been working on setting up a hackintosh on my dad's old computer for a while now. Yesterday, I made significant progress and managed to reach the installation screen. However, I encountered a major hurdle afterward—the computer failed to recognize the hard drive for installation. My dad suspects it might be a BIOS issue. If anyone out there can lend a hand, I'd deeply appreciate it.

I'm following this tutorial: https://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/iboot-multibeast-install-mac-os-x-on.html

Could be any number of things.

Some of these old boards have both IDE and SATA controllers - IDE is not natively supported.

Make sure SATA is in AHCI mode.

I'll let you know the result after I try, thank you for responding so quickly.
