[Guide] Dell XPS 9530 using Clover UEFI

I successfully upgraded from 10.11.6 (using this procedure) to 10.12 (using syscl/m3800 scripts and procedure).

I created my Sierra vanilla 8GB USB key using this procedure http://osxarena.com/2016/09/install-macos-sierra-hackintosh-pc-vanilla-installation-method/.
While running "deploy.sh" it ran into 2 problems:
1. OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi is missing. I googled, downloaded, then copied the efi file to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
2. CommandLineTools is not available in 10.12 default install so I copied it from my old 10.11 /Library/Developer
I then rerun deploy.sh without any errors.

As soon as getting into 10.12, I upgraded to 10.12.3 from App Store without any problem.
In 10.12.3 I used Kext Install App to install VoodooPS2Controller.kext from spud's post #684 to get sound working.

Thanks to all posters for your expertises that make my hackintosh viable again and again.

After having successfully upgraded to Sierra 10.2.3 with everything I use working using the script from git repo syscl/M3800. The HDMI and mDP ports have both stopped working (no video - not fussed about audio).

I receive the following log in the logs which keep repeating themselves, searching doesn't provide me with much feedback. anyone got any ideas?

Mar 20 13:15:28 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.displaypolicyd): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.
Mar 20 13:15:28 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.nowplayingtouchui): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.

Thanks

Can anyone give me a shortguide for clean installing osx Sierra on xps 15 9530?

After running the script from syscl/m3800 I can no longer boot into Sierra. I have no idea why the script runs smoothlywith no errors but after reboot. It stops halfway through. Any ideas?

is your HDMI port working on 10.12.5

hi,

is this guide also applicable for m3800? the model that has the same specs as this one, except for the video card being quadro k110?

thanks

Short answer, YES it will work.

I'm on Sierra 10.12.6 on my Dell m3800
I've got my 2015 model m3800 w/ 4k display running nicely using this guide along w/ some of the tips found throughout this thread.

F.Y.I. I was having problems getting display to stay on after everything was done w/ installation.
I tool the trouble shooting advice of someone in this thread to (PAINFULLY) navigate to the display settings to switch resolution to one that would keep display on.
In order to do so, I kept one finger on the brightness and one on the mouse, and little by little, moving the mouse little by little only when I was abel to see the cursor. It sucked, but it did work, and got me to a fully functional laptop.

Thanks go out to the dark-void for creating and supporting users in this thread, and ReHabMan for his continuous laptop support and help that he gives to this community. I am forever grateful!!

Also I'd like to thank anyone who has had an issue, worked out the solution, and posted the solution for others to learn from.
Without people posting their versions of what worked for them, I'd have never gotten my m3800 fully functional.
Thanks Again!!
