Hi all,

Spec
Asus Z170-A
Core i7 6700k
16GB DDR4 3000Mhz Corsair Vengeance
Nvidia GTX 980 Ti

Having just updated my system to macOS Sierra all is working well as it should with no casualties, sound, network, all USB ports (even 3.0!), CPU speed step still working right too. I did have an issue with reaching the installer using the recommended Without Caches option within Clover. The only way I could reach the installer was to not use this option and it booted straight in. Ensure you have the latest version of Clover before installing.

The only reported issue post installation I can give is that I have a three monitor setup, two via DisplayPort and one via HDMI. If I leave all 3 monitors connected with the Nvidia Web driver enabled the system hangs at boot and will not progress until I reset. If i unplug two of the monitors and boot with just a single display the system boots as normal and then you can plug the other two monitors in and they should come on as normal.

nvda-drv=1 is no longer working - instead set NvidiaWeb=True in NVRAM

My primary display is a G-Sync display and the Nvidia driver does not detect it in the new G-SYNC tab in driver settings as connected even though I am typing on it as I write this, again probably will be fixed in a further update but no bother as I can set it to run at 144hz in Display settings.

tldr; If you can't boot after installing the latest nvidia driver and have more than one monitor - disconnect them so you only have one, boot in to macOS and then plug in your other monitors and it will work. I am sure there will be an update to solve this further down the line.

Hope this helps someone in future.
Hi Sneaky,

I have i7-6700k and EVGA GTX 980 Ti as well. How did you go about working the hdmi port to recognize a monitor? I installed the latest driver and I am on Sierra as well. However, my hack is Mac 17,1 definition. I am getting no luck when I plug hdmi-hdmi from the hackintosh to my monitor. My hackintosh does not recognize the monitor connected with hdmi. please help. Let me know. Thanks!

I have a X99 system using MacPro6,1 definition with Nvidia 980Ti on Sierra 10.12.2

Primary display is G-Sync via display port (2560x1440)
Secondary is via DVI (2560x1440)
Third is to a 1080p projector via HDMI

G-Sync works, if it doesn't power cycle the monitor while booted.

The "default" preference for display outputs seems to be DVI first, then Displayport and lastly HDMI. I've found this to be the same whether booted into OSX, Windows or some other *NIX OS.

It's only with Sierra and Windows 10 that I can force my G-Sync monitor on Displayport to be primary for the operating system, BIOS still displays on DVI. if I boot Yosemite my DVI display becomes primary.

Hi Darthrum,

I also have multiple display. One DVI and HDMI. DVI seems to be the primary monitor as well since the apple logo pops from that monitor. However, when I plug HDMI and Displayport to the two monitors, my computer would boot but show black screen on both of my monitors. What is weird is that when I use DVI and HDMI, my hackintosh will boot to Sierra without any problem. Do you know how to boot all three screen without unplugging the ports to get to the log-in page?

Same issue here. Besides, multiple displays makes wake from sleep black screen (no signal) as well.

Same issue.
10.12.3 (16D32)
Web Driver: 367.15.10.35f01
MacPro6,1

ASUS Z170-A LGA 1151
Intel Core i5-6600K
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked ->DP-> Dell S2716DG

I've got the DVI & HDMI working, but not the DisplayPort.
I just found 2 files (only seen one before)
AGDPfix.app.zip (79 KB, 8,386 views)
AGDPfix.v1.3.zip (80.2 KB, 6,100 views)

Tried both and no luck with the DisplayPort.

I'll add myself to this:
ASUS Maximus Viii Ranger
Intel Core i5 6600K
Gigabyte GTX 960 WF2OC (4GB)
macOS Sierra 10.12.3
iMac 14,2
Latest Nvidia Web Driver 367.15.10.35f01

Normally, I have my main-monitor hooked up via HDMI, one screen via DVI and the third via DVI-VGA adaptor.
To keep my rig booting up, I need to unhook the two secondarys, as already mentioned.
But when I plug one back in, while the Mac is up and running, it just does a hard reset and starts booting again.

Using the provided solutions, I already got the mac booting with the Web Driver, but getting all three, or at least two monitors working is the nut that keeps me busy.

EDIT: Seems, the monitor connected with the analog vga is producing issues. The other two are working perfectly fine, as long as the one with the vga/dvi adaptor is NOT connected. Hope this helps someone...

Same problem here.

I'm running my system in qemu with PCI passthrough.

My graphics card is a GTX960 4Gb.
NVIDIA Web Drivers: Latest

In order to boot, I need to physically remove all the displays from the gpu besides DVI. The system will only boot with a DVI monitor. After booting, I am able to plug in all my monitors. The system will not boot even when the cables are plugged in and not running into any monitor.

If I have one or monitors plugged into my system at boot without a dvi monitor, the system crashes at boot and restarts.

If I have more than one monitor attached and a dvi monitor attached, a black screen is displayed on the dvi monitor and the system freezes.

If I remove the dvi monitor after successfully booting up and plugging in extra monitors, the system crashes and restarts.
