CsrActiveConfig = 0x40 is useless. Use 0x3 or 0x67.
ssdt: Inserting SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEG0.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success
What is connected to Nvidia?
You mean the card? Only the monitor (with builtin speakers) to the only HDMI port. Other than that, the card has 2 unused DVI ports. (my monitor doesn't support audio through DVI)

edit: disabling SIP completely (CsrActiveConfig = 0x67) fixed it. Thanks for pointing it out so that I actually read about what that setting means :V

Fixed what?
Fixed the sound. Now I see my monitor in output devices and everything worked like it did before the update.
Maybe since 10.11.6 disabling SIP is now required for something...

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this. I am having trouble with HDMI Audio on HD530 graphics. I cannot get HDMI audio. I tried cloverHDMI method but did not get HDMI audio. I am attaching my config.plist and the IOReg file with a few screenshots. The only thing I got was what you see on the screenshot for Sound. I used ammulder's guide for the Gigabyte H170N-WIFI.

My build:
Intel i5-6400
Gigabyte Z170N-WIFI
Samsung SM951 128GB
HD 530 Graphics
OSX El Capitan
Bios F4

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

3. Skylake/HD 5x0, remove config.plist (if present)
• ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Item ? (Rename HDAS to HDEF)
MultiBeast Skylake audio diables HDMI audio.

Thank you for the quick response. I can only assume you are talking the config.plist.backup? I removed that, also I do not understand about renaming HDAS to HDEF. I did find SSDT-HDAS-HDEF-1.aml in the patched folder. Is this the one I should rename?

Disables ssdt/HDMI audio. Please clarify: remove, don't add.
Clover Configurator does not always do what is requested/expected. Suggest Xcode, plist editor.

Thank you Toleda, that did it. I removed the property using Clover Configurator. Now I have HDMI audio.

here is no such guide for HD4400 so which one should I follow.
This thread only supports AppleHDA.kext HDMI audio. When 282 AppleHDA.kext onboard audio is working and HD4400 graphics is recognized, attach all Post #1, Problem Reporting files for HD4400 HDMI audio support.
