Depends on what you were using as a boot loader in Yosemite and if you did a direct update or a clean install. If Chimera, you need to delete the /Extra folder and install Clover. If you were using Clover and did a direct update, probably all you have to do is run the script to enable Audio.
Otherwise if you did a clean install, install Clover and run Multibeast for needs kexts for your hardware
It was running 10.7.5 with Chimera. I installed 10.11 on a new hard drive, but I'm not sure that's considered a clean install.
Clover came up when 10.11 installed, but I'm not sure that the entire thing is actually installed or if it was just part of the process. My motherboard is in Legacy BIOS, not UEFI, so I wasn't sure I could even install Clover. Advice?
Bluetooth and wifi are already working, but no audio or iMessage and I'm pretty sure if I restarted it, it wouldn't boot at all.
