Guide: MultiBooting UEFI

Correct. I can install OS X and boot off the HD in a single boot configuration no problem. It's only when I install Windows I have problems. I used the instructions here http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/15458-uefi-bootable-usb-flash-drive-create-windows.html to make a Windows 7 installer USB drive (the only thing I could think that would maybe cause a problem was when I setup Rufus it did not have the "Standard Windows Installation" radio button to check (wasn't an option-- I made it in Windows 7).
When you booted the Windows install USB dis you hit the function hotkey to select a boot device and make sure you selected the one beginning with UEFI? i.e. UEFI: USB Install WIn7

No. I did not see that as an option to hit anything. Just the loading bar with running windows setup.

So try this - boot into UEFI/BIOS and look to see if you have 2 entries for the Win7 USB - one starts USB, the other starts UEFI USB. If you do, select the UEFI USB to do your install with.

Before installing Win7, format the drive you plan to install it on with OS X disk utility, selecting OS X Extended (Journaled) format or open a command window at the install screen and use diskpart to clesn the drive, convert it to gpt and create an EFI partition of at least 200MB. You can then exit the command window and continue the install, selecting the free space to install Win7.

So I tried the method here
to making a UEFI USB Windows 7 install disk from my 64 bit Windows 7 OEM DVD. When I boot with Legacy Boot Sources disabled in the BIOS, I press F8 at the Windows installer load bar and I get to Windows Boot Manager and "Choose an operating system to start:" with the only option being Windows Setup [EMS Enabled]. I have no idea what EMS Enabled is but that is the only option.

Before I re-format/partition/install OSes am I on the right path? Or will I wind up back in the same situation I am in now?

Never having used that method to create the install USB, I do not even know if it will work. I would say try it - you are installing on a separate drive from OS X, yes? Then make sure only the Win7-to-be drive is connected to a SATA port and try it. If you use diskpart to clean and convert gpt the drive before trying to install and it installs on a UEFI formatted drive then you are golden.

Download EFI Mounter V3 from http://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/categories/community-software.10/

run diskutil list in terminal - determine your drive ID
run EFI mounter, <enter password> , select mount, select the drive ID for your OS X drive, click mount.
Is there a way to get back my Windows boot disk without starting all over???

I've read all messages and don't think this has been asked before. I can't seem to install windows 10 - I get an error in setup.

I have a HD that dual boots osx el capitan and windows 10. I just got a new Samsung EVO 500gb HD and I am following this guide.

I have installed Sierra ok. When I try to install windows 10 on the partition:

It then starts to copy files for 1 few seconds

Then throws up this error!

I created the windows 10 installation USB with the tool in windows 10. I boot using UEFI.

Help anyone..!?!?!
