Finally got it working using this thread!! Thanks. All was fine except my Ethernet was not “Built in” for a change. Unchecked FixLAN in CloverCfg, killed connections and started again. en0 built in, didn’t get chance to log into iMessage, it just did it on boot. Sweeeeet. Thanks again.

Since Catalina, I can't get the cpu description to show up in about this Mac. All the usual stuff doesn't have any effect. And it's blank, not unknown.

I have no cpu description at all, and everything I usually do doesn't work

Do you have SSDT-EC.Kext in the patches folder?

Did it boot before the update? (You haven’t tried every single option because the one that works hasn’t been tried :thumbup:)

Boot clover from the SSD, select either to boot Mojave, then mount EFI’s and copy the SSD EFI partition to the NVMe EFI partition. Then they’ll be the same :thumbup:

At the clover boot screen, press space, and disable WEG loading in the kexts section. That worked for me. Then it will boot and you can change WEG to the latest version.

iMessage is still working for me. I don’t use FaceTime. I can report freezing and stuttering during disk operations though. Wasn‘t doing that before the update. Sigh :(

I can’t get this to work in Catalina. And we have a new file in there too, Processors.strings
