So I got mine working and I thought I'd share it here just incase anyone ever runs into this as well.
I have the same broadcom wifi + bt card as the original poster.
However it turns out I did not need to tape up pins 54 and 56. The root cause for me of not being able to turn on my wifi is the...
This post has been incredibly helpful and I got it working until I screwed in the card which probably moved the tape.
I have found the act of taping these tiny little pins very difficult. The pins are so small it’s difficult for me to track counting them and laying the tape on precisely
Any...
I think you are looking at the wrong side. You need to tape the other side.
Once flipped around and with the pins on top, count from the left can cover the 10th and 11th pins. Those should be pins 54 and 56.
My Audio is not working after installing the 2020-002 Security Update, but everything else seemed fine.
I see that the security update updated a file /System/Library/Extensions/AudioAUUC.kext.
I am using AppleALC.kext 1.4.9 with Lilu 1.4.4.
I did try different Audio Inject numbers in Clover...
I installed a Gigabyte Radeon RX560 in my Sierra 10.12.6 build and it worked nearly flawlessly out of the box (sleep working). The main issue I am dealing with is the system will not boot unless I use Internal Graphics (IGFX) in the BIOS when I boot up.
This is not a huge deal, but it is an...
I installed Pixel Clock Patch and it gave me more resolutions options (2560x1440) but still no 4k over HDMI. Additionally the system is a bit less stable now; when I change resolutions sometimes the screen will just black out and stay that way. The blackout might be due to my Intel HD 530 as...
Thank you undert0w! That fixed the issue. exiled, if you're running into this as well give this a shot. Also thanks to everyone that helped out in this thread.
Here's what I did:
I installed AppleALC 1.1.3, restarted.
Then I installed Lilu 1.1.5 and IntelGraphicsFixup 1.1.5 and restarted...
Still no solution yet with my Intel 530 HD Graphics but here's an update:
Lilu.kext 1.1.5 and IntelGraphicsFixup.kext 1.1.5 (both the latest as of this post) continue to cause a kernel crash and enters a reboot loop, preventing the system from actually booting up. Removing these 2 kexts...
Unfortunately my unibeast boot usb now freezes up during boot; I'm not sure why as I've made no changes to it.
Is there a way to update clover without booting into the OS since I can't boot into it? I've been looking but haven't found a way.
After using kext beast to install lilu.kext and intelgraphicsfixup.kext (for 10.12.5's blank screen issue) I get a kernel panic on booting up. My version of clover is 2.3k rev 3766 if that's at all relevant.
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming-5
CPU: Intel i7-6700k
Graphics: Intel HD 530
I'm...
After using kext beast to install lilu.kext and intelgraphicsfixup.kext (for 10.12.5's blank screen issue) I get a kernel panic on booting up.
I'm quite at a loss at what to do next.
Is it ok to just delete the kext directories from /Library/Extensions?
If so how do I get into a state where...
LatteCat, Thanks a lot for the tip! That allowed me to boot into my system again.
From Clover Boot
Select Options > Graphics Injector > FakeID
For FakeID I replaced 0x00000000 with 0x12345678.
Interestingly this also allowed my system to use 4k resolution whereas previously it maxed out on...
