So I'm dual-booting this system with windows, and this problem seems to exist there as well! The cpu multiplier never goes above 8x, or around 800Mhz. Could this problem have something to do with Chimera? Or is it some kind of hardware / bios issue?

I really need help with this. Everything is perfect with my build except that the cpu is running at 800Mhz. I've confirmed this using the Intel Power Gadget and Geekbench (850 / 2600 32bit). I generated an ssdt using ssdtPRgen with the options all default. Based on the output it looked like it...

Turns out this motherboard just won't work with with the intel 4600 on this cpu. Probably some kind of incompatibility with the chipset. I ordered a GA-H87N-WIFI to replace this GA-H97N-WIFI and the graphics started right up no problem.

could this be a compatibility issue with the motherboard?
