[SOLVED] i5 only boots in safe mode

Hey guys,

So I'm trying to get the following build working:

H97N-WIFI
i5-4670K
Samsung SSD
Mavericks 10.9.3

I'm using the integrated HD4600 and I've managed to install OSX, but I've only been able to boot into safe mode. In safe mode I was able to fire up MultiBeast and setup the boot loader and everything. I've tried a whole bunch of combinations of boot flags like GraphicsEnabler=Yes|No, etc.

Is there anything else I should be trying? I was thinking this is a graphics issue, are there other possibilities I should consider? When I boot with verbose output everything seems to be fine, but the graphic mode just never starts.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Turns out this motherboard just won't work with with the intel 4600 on this cpu. Probably some kind of incompatibility with the chipset. I ordered a GA-H87N-WIFI to replace this GA-H97N-WIFI and the graphics started right up no problem.

I just bought the H97N-WIFI thinking it was so related to the h87 (and it was cheaper than the H87, go figure) that it would be a piece of cake to get it going.

I can boot with -x in safe mode, but when I do without, it gets stuck.

Where did you read that the H97 and the HD4600 was incompatible?
Although I have seen hundreds of threads, I didn't see that one!
