Thanks for this info. I do not have SerialInit under Misc>Debug, but still have Misc>Serial>Init=false. Should I delete the "Init=False" altogether? (I am using ProperTree).
F20 has been working great for me. F20 betas all the way up to f20d were all bugged, but the release version fixed all of the issues I was having. Wonder what is causing the USB ejection issues.
It's been rock stable. I regretted purchasing it as there was no support for almost 5 months, but am glad I held out. This may be the last discrete GPU that will have mac support, but will serve me well for the next few years.
One more questions: when I shutdown my Hackintosh, it automatically restarts. I remember this used to be a problem with clover config, but I am not sure why this happening with my opencore setup.
Update: looks like resetting the networkpreference.plist also solved the problem.
I cannot seem to sign into my App Store any more. All other iServices seems to be working. I am using iMac20,2 serial generated by genSMBIOS with my ethernet MAC address (colon removed) as my ROM. It worked fine until I tried to update my apps a few days ago. Any suggestion?
Update: Search...
Finally ironed out all the little quirks of this golden build. I had a few USB devices that were mainly for Windows machine, and was trying to figure out how to keep them in the hackintosh build without causing any sleep/stability issues. One of them was Aquacomputer Quadro that was preventing...
I had 2x Radeon VII and upgraded to a single 6800XT. Depending on what you plan to do, I think it's worth the upgrade. I haven't done much testing as I just got my hackintosh up and running with the 11.4, but GB metal and OpenCL is about twice as fast as Radeon VII. Not sure how much of that...
Thanks, guys! I just ordered one.
On a separate note, I have some USB devices that I am only using for Windows. I am thinking of putting a windows-only compatible PCIe USB card, and plug all the USB devices that are not needed for Mac. Do you think this will work? Will I need to use some...
That was my concern. On Z390, the internal port on the MB used to be two separate ports(HS11/HS12). For Z490, I had to connect both the Fenvi and Aquacomputing to the same port. Will have to do some creative rewiring to make this work. Thanks again for the help.
I remembered now that my Aquacomputer Quad fan controller was keeping the computer awake on my z390 mackintosh, and had to disable that specific USB port. Can you point me to how to disable one of the internal USB port in Mac? Before this install, I was using USBMap tool with a custom kext...
So good to be back on the mackintosh with a working 6800XT. The only issue so far is that sleep is not working. It wakes up immediately after going to sleep. Any thoughts on how to get the sleep working? Thanks.
Thank you, dehjomz and CaseySJ for your help. I ended up recreating my install disk using an external SSD and went through reinstalling. All is working great now. Using iMac12,2, everything seems to be working including Thunderbot port with my TB monitor. I am still not sure why my first...
Yes, as soon as anything Thunderbolt is connected, it kernel panics. I just tried with just dock with nothing attached. Still freezes and restarts. I am not sure if it's hardware related as everything works fine on the Windows side.
One more thing: My screen never goes to sleep either. I am...
