I was having the same issue @jimbojingle described trying to upgrade a clone of my current boot drive (Ventura) to Sonoma. I can confirm the upgrade goes smoothly and fast just disabling “SecureBootModel” as @CaseySJ suggested

Hi guys, just wondering if it's safe to upgrade to Sonoma directly from Ventura 13.6.5. My use is mostly video/audio editing (Adobe & Resolve). Is there any changes needed to be made to the EFI folder (last EFI that CaseySJ posted, updated with Hackindrom) in order to update the system...

Hi everyone, I've been working flawlessly with the Hackintosh I built four years ago, thanks to the wonderful guide that CaseySJ shared here with us. Today I've upgraded my i7 10700K Intel processor to an i9 10900K, and it's working just fine; I'm running Ventura 13.6.1 with the latest OpenCore...

Yeah, probably it was my fault as I never used the app before. Lesson learned, never update your computer in the middle of a work project :p

Yesterday I tried to update Opencore to 0.7.9 version using Hackindrom app for the first time and somehow it messed up the EFI folder. I was stuck on the Apple logo, even booting from different backups of operatives EFIs on a pendrive (I tried with the last 8 EFIs, from 0.7.0 to 0.7.8). Finally...

Just fixed two things that weren't working in my build. 1. Sleep/Wake Up. My Corsair power supply USB cable was preventing the system to sleep properly, as indicated in the first post. I've disconnected it off the motherboard, now sleep/wake up works beautifully. 2. USB 2 devices not working...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

After a month working with a smooth Catalina installation in my first Hackintosh, I'd like to try Big Sur. Is there a special procedure to install it, or is it just a regular upgrade (download from App Store, install, reboots...) like in a real Mac? I've updated OpenCore to the last version and...

Hello, a newbie user here. After 12 years of using MacPros (1,1 and 5,1), I decided to get a Hackintosh due to Apple's high prices. I would like to thank CaseySJ for this wonderful guide, I was able to install everything without a problem. I've been doing my usual video editing work on my...
