Cant enable Filevault (Says "Incorrect password")

Thank you very much. The handling seems simple. I don't have time to test it now. But I will do it soon. I will put a message to confirm that everything works when it is done. Thank you very much for your help.

    On the picture you have obviously 3 controllers: - ASmedia: zero port enabled - ASmedia: 4 ports enabled ( 2 x usb2 + 2x USB3) - intel host (chipset): 7 ports enabled (4 x USB2 + 3 x USB3) to use USBToolBox ( on windows): - Disconnect all USB devices - start the port detection - connect a USB...

Hi, actually you have probably more than 15 ports activated per controller. You can find out which physical port is connected to which controller on your motherboard documentation. ( be careful there can be more than one controller of the same type) 3 x ASMedia 3142 on my example It is usually...

Use USBToolBox on windows ( it doesn't work on Mac OS ) the only files you need to put in your EFI are (no need to make any other changes): USBToolBox.kext UTBMap.kext ( created by USBToolBox ) For a simple configuration don't detect more than 15 ports per controller for me all works well...

It really looks like the problem I had. Sometimes I had to start 10 times and the 10th Mac OS launches. I have no solution except to reinstall OSX. ( but the problem came back 2-3 weeks later)

if the card already works on PCI 1 ^^ maybe a bug in your BIOS (Gigabyte likes to make buggy bios...) Are you using the latest version of the bios ?

you have a 2nd pci card on the PCIE_8_2 Slot. You have tried to remove all the other PCI cards that are useless? (maybe a compatibility problem between cards)

maybe it's not the same problem I had .... As @teosoft said, are the PCI "bifurcation" in the BIOS well done? In the BIOS, in the PCI configuration you have to choose "4x4 PCI" on the right PCI slot. So you can only put this pci card on a 16x slot (not 8x if you use 4 ssd) By default it is...

I think I had a similar problem on Big sur with my raid PCI card. The only solutions I could find: Re-install the system or Format the RAID volume. The problem occurred several times in a random way after several days or weeks. This is one of the main reasons why I gave up my Gigabyte...
