Currently have a Nvidia 550ti have just got a 6850 because i need dual DVI for my 30" Dell display. Is it a case of just swapping out the card and OSX picks up the new crd automatically? Or do i have to delete any kexts before i go ahead. Or last resort fresh install. Running 10.7.3 LION

Thansk Fellas, got it working fine...... It was my fault had the cable upside down wired it completely wrong , all good now.

Not proving to be easy as it is made out to beLOL might just ditch it al together there is a possibility that the front panel doesn't work, i have never tested it.

G5 seems easier to mod to me, the price of a New Mac pro is of the charts, i went to an Apple store to ask how much and was quoted $925 AUD for the bare enclosure. I am in the middle of a G5 mod now case was $50 bux

Does it boot the windows HDD? sounds like a hardware issue, try different ram and sata cables. I dont believe that My system has an uptime of 15 days and cpu is nearly always maxed out all 8 threads.
