Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]
No Issues with My 2600k on Asus P8Z68M - Pro, actually didn't have to do anything nothing changed at all even sound still works.
Currently have a Nvidia 550ti have just got a 6850 because i need dual DVI for my 30" Dell display.
Is it a case of just swapping out the card and OSX picks up the new crd automatically?
Or do i have to delete any kexts before i go ahead.
Or last resort fresh install.
Running 10.7.3 LION
Yeah another one
WIP still a few cosmetic things to do but i need my machine going for work .
In the process or fabricating rear IO panel out of Aluminium, and going to Mod PSU with G5 PSU Casing.
No optical drive as i never use one
Thanks for all the Guides on here and all the info i needed...
Not proving to be easy as it is made out to beLOL
might just ditch it al together there is a possibility that the front panel doesn't work, i have never tested it.
G5 seems easier to mod to me, the price of a New Mac pro is of the charts, i went to an Apple store to ask how much and was quoted $925 AUD for the bare enclosure. I am in the middle of a G5 mod now case was $50 bux
Is it possible to wire the front panel with out firewire, i dont have it and will never use firewire, i have USB and power wired up but it is not working.

Does it boot the windows HDD? sounds like a hardware issue, try different ram and sata cables.
I dont believe that My system has an uptime of 15 days and cpu is nearly always maxed out all 8 threads.
Because i can.
I have a iMac 27" which i use alot and i use Linux alot aswell for work.
Apple machines are not powerful for the money you spend so why not build a monster machine for half the price.
