    I don't think there are any others corresponding to HD Graphics 5500 is all I'm saying (based on this information): [ 1] : 0x16060000 – Broadwell GT1 (Intel HD Graphics) [ 2] : 0x160e0000 – Broadwell GT1 (Intel HD Graphics) [ 3] : 0x16160000 – Broadwell GT2 (Intel HD Graphics 5500) [ 4] ...

No luck, I've got another crash. Music is still playing and I can move the cursor, but there's no response to keyboard commands and nothing on the screen is updating (volume etc)

Ok, I deleted the FakePCIID kexts and I'm using ig-platform-id 0x16160000 now (the only other HD 5500 platform id as far as I can tell?). I'll let you know how it goes

    Gigabyte Brix i7 - GB-BXi7-5500 works on 10.10.3

installed FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext in Clover/kexts, put <key>ig-platform-id</key> <string>0x16160002</string> in config.plist under Graphics, and booted up. Apple logo is garbled halfway through boot but otherwise everything seems to work perfectly, at least for several...

Hey guys, was taking a swing at the i3 version of the broadwell brix again using clover this time since chimera didn't seem to work too well for me. It's booting, it's stable, I've got ethernet and audio, but I've got a deathly slow refresh rate, and things like iTunes visualizer are just...

Chimera 4.1 Injects Intel HD 5500 Graphics on Broadwell BRIX

It pretty much freezes constantly on a drive that boots and runs flawlessly on my haswell hack. And it's always something different. Plug in iPhone -> crash, press volume button on keyboard -> crash, open iTunes -> crash. It seemed to be working pretty well for a little though, I'm not sure what...

Chimera 4.1 Injects Intel HD 5500 Graphics on Broadwell BRIX

I can get it working on the Broadwell i3 Brix but there's a constant, annoying buzzing sound... Not sure how to fix it.

Hahaha, thanks for the validation! You mentioned faster ram might be a good addition, but the brix spec page only lists 1333/1600 support. You sure that would help? (plus I've got about a dozen sticks of compatible 1333 I've torn out of MacBooks over the years)

I've been thinking about this too, and I too had noticed that you can get up to $700+ pretty fast with a brix configuration. The thing is, once you factor in upgraded hard drive cost on the mac mini and realize you can't easily change out its hard drive on your own (literally have to take...

Gigabyte Brix GB-BXi7-5500 and Intel NUC NUC5i5RYH and NUC5i7RYH

Now that Chimera 4.1 supports broadwell and intel HD5500 graphics, has anyone set up one of the broadwell brix yet? I'll buy one pretty much as soon as someone confirms it's working. Also: would there be any problem if I got the i3 version, considering no Apple products use such a processor?

    Broadwell

Awesome! Let us know how it goes, I've been itching to buy myself a broadwell brix. &&&& kinda related, I just got the new retina macbook in the mail and would be happy to dig around for files or information to help along broadwell laptop compatibility

Hey, Nikki! Amazing setup, and I'm really pleased to see all your success with Ozmosis! I've been reading up on it the last couple days and it seems like Ozmosis is a no-brainer for someone with a recent gigabyte motherboard. Your patching process seems fairly involved; if, say...
