fixed by disabling the put drives to sleep setting

yea vlc was better, and StreamToMe was even better installed iLife11 and imported tons of photos into iPhoto no problem when I view them though, once I double click on one to zoom it in, it gets stuck in an endless loop of zooming in and out and eventually crashes.... any idea?

sorry i forgot to update, i had to select the "System Reserved" icon instead of the Win7 icon

Been running my build for a week or so now, everything is great minus getting a webcam working (next step) and this random DVD drive thing. Every now and then it just seems to randomly try to access the drive, but theres no disc or anything in it. It just spins up, i hear it spin, look at the...

I can boot into os x fine and I can see the win7 drive, but when booting windows I get an error about not finding boot record. OS x is on a 3.5 sata and win7 is on a 2.5 ssd. If I have my motherboard boot into the win drive directly windows boots right up.

thanks to all the tips and guides here i was able to get my system up in about an hour or so on my first try! now that im up and running, is there anything I might be missing? im a n00b to OSX so I dont really know how to go about making sure all my hardware is actually working/optimized...
