I've been testing extensively the last few days, and I am happy to say the system seems to be completely stable. I am not experiencing any of the USB freeze issues or boot hang-ups that I was before.

I went back through the boot logs and found that the boot argument shikigva was giving me trouble. It appears it is no longer needed or supported in WhateverGreen 1.3.5
Will test with the new kexts and see if the USB still freezes.

System boots ok now with the old config.
Could be an unrelated issue but I had tried the Pro Apps - option 2 with the iMac 19,1 in the going the extra mile section and I experienced the same boot hang with black screen
The system fails to boot every couple of times with the error "bool ATIController::TestVRAM(PCI_REG_INDEX, bool) - FAILED" and the top patch took care of that, the second patch removes the magenta lines on my screen during the verbose boot process possibly due to writing in unaddressable space...
I haven't experienced this issue before on a real Mac where the entire USB system lock up. I searched around on apple's forums and have seen a few references to resetting the NVRAM, so I tried NVRAM -c on the Clover shell, but it did not help either.
