A current example of this is that even though my boot options are set to boot the "LastBootedVolume" with a timeout of 5 seconds, every time I have booted up, it does select the last booted volume, but the timeout to make a selection is 10 seconds. See code below...

Update - I had rebooted my system to check the bios settings. Now I am getting even more video errors. Long rectangles, squares which appear randomly across the screen and "blink" every time I press a key on the keyboard. Also, certain characters appear as blue squares with black lines in...
With regard to this suggestion, I double checked that in fact my bios has the SDD as my primary boot device, plus both of my other HDs are not SDD and make a significant amount of drive noise when they are selected as the primary boot device. So that does not seem to be the issue..at least on...

Everything works! Used kext beast to install.
Thanks...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD...
I have been trying to get my VoodooHDA system preference pane to save the input gain level (which defaults to high, and produces white noise upon startup) that I keep having to change every time I boot up. When I change the gain to zero, the white noise goes away and the sound is great. It...
