BIOS is where you access the Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)? I think mine is whatever default would be for "Optimized Defaults" I recall "About this MAC" reading the RAM freq correctly, but if you enable XMP, does "About this MAC" read it incorrectly? How far off is it?

No, although it happens less frequently, it still happens. I'm running 10.9.2. This past weekend, swapped motherboards to a GA-B75m-DS3H (which i have 2 running systems on 10.9.2. w/o any issues) and just last night, wake wouldn't come up correctly with the new mobo. Same CPU, i7-3770 Same...

ok... great, now i goofed something up. i wanted to take the working hdmi output w/ sound and port it over to a mobo-specific DSDT that had sleep enabled (CMOS reset fix) and i think i messed something up. The device ID is now different and my PEGP and P0P2 are swapped?? maybe i'm too tired...

YUP! :lol: :lol: that works, now i have a "SAMSUNG" output under the sound preferences. but a question though, i can change the volume? is this a digital output? stereo? 5.1? i expected just a digital line out without the ability to adjust the volume. how did this fix change the .kext...
