    Help: Step-by-step guide to overclocking a 4770K on a Z87X-OC ?

You were totally right! It was both, OCed together. But I've gone from around 80-115 so I attributed that partly to CPU. It was odd but I thought I had the CPU stable for a while when I first OCed to 4.4 but was still getting mental FPS lag and bottleneck activity spikes in BF4 using the draw...

    Help: Step-by-step guide to overclocking a 4770K on a Z87X-OC ?

Didn't know that. I don't use it for the OC. Just the test as have found a few OC guides pointing to it being good to test the AVX instruction sets. I actually got what I thought was 15fps boost in BF4 with my OC… but that's rough, I can't justify it with exacts. I can't replicate any sort...

    Help: Step-by-step guide to overclocking a 4770K on a Z87X-OC ?

Check out Intel Extreme Tuning Utility or Aida64 tests as they are built taking into account the Haswell AVX instruction sets. IETU was apparently specifically created to test the Haswell platform. Linpak, Prime and even running the Aida64 FPU only test can place unnecessary load on the CPU...

    Help: Step-by-step guide to overclocking a 4770K on a Z87X-OC ?

The above is okay IF you have sufficient cooling in place. DON'T OC USING THE STOCK COOLER. Use this in windows to monitor temps:http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html Use this in OSX to monitor temps...

    4770k OC OVER 4.3 GHz

You shouldn't need to push your ring voltage to 1.25. It can help stabilize your CPU and Uncore but also generates heat which is counter productive. I didn't really talk about uncore multiplier last post, but it's important. I'm certainly not an expert and am fairly new at this myself. So...

    4770k OC OVER 4.3 GHz

I forgot to add that the ring voltage is very important in stabilizing the OC. When I did my first (dirty) quick OC, by just changing my multiplier and Vcore, I had a few hangs in windows.

    tonymacx86's Haswell mATX: GA-Z87MX-D3H - i7-4770K - HD 4600

Really late reply here Stork, but I'm running XMP 1 set to 1600mHz and ran Memtest86+ for 14 hours with no errors on my setup on the Z87MX D3H. Bios F6. Im running Crucial Ballistix Tactical 2x8gb sticks split between the first and third slot (as Gigabyte recommend in their manual). Sorry...

    tonymacx86's Haswell mATX: GA-Z87MX-D3H - i7-4770K - HD 4600

A little late to the party but I've just installed an EVGA mITX cooler and I'm impressed with it. It clips in just like the stock Intel cooler and has given me similar results to everyone's 212EVO temps. http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Sleeve-Direct-Socket-100-FS-C901-KR/dp/B00FS6O20A/

    4770k OC OVER 4.3 GHz

Does removing generate C and P states mean that my 4770K will always be running at max? Wonder if you've tested if your CPU is still throttling down like it should? If anyones interested, I added an EVGA mITX cooler this weekend and it's cooling my 4770K on air. Funnily enough my Vcore is set...

AMD "Mantle" Driver Now Available in Catalyst 14.1 Beta

I saw a minor increase in frame rate in Battlefield 4 with the new Mantle drivers. Average of 83 jumped to 86, but that may just have been on the wrong map. Unfortunately I had to disable my IGFX as Battlefield 4 kept crashing and wouldn't let me select the Mantle API with it enabled. I...

    tonymacx86's Haswell mATX: GA-Z87MX-D3H - i7-4770K - HD 4600

When you load the windows installer you have to choose to load the LEGACY installer. In your boot list it will be the one that does NOT have UEFI labeled before it.

AMD Radeon HD 7970 shows as FirePro D700 in 10.9 Mavericks

I'm running this exact Z87MX-D3H setup as well and I couldn't get the 4600 to play nice with my Diamond Radeon HD7970. I eventually turned off the internal graphics completely as with both on I was getting low low benchmarks. Was there any trick to getting them to play nice together?
