Hmm.. It all worked so well until I migrated my user from 10.8 Now it doesn't boot up again. It just get's hung on the grey apple screen. Any thoughts?

You Rock! I don't have the same build, and I've been have a frustrating time getting Yosemite to work for many days. I followed your workflow exactly and it's working great! Hopefully it still works after I migrate in my data! -Mat

I'm having the same issue. After Installing Yosemite, I can only boot up in safe mode. I ran multibeast and it didn't change anything. Any ideas?? Thanks, Mat

I copied back my os/user from another drive I was cloning my main drive to. It was running 10.7.2 firewire still not working. not even working for the firewire 400 built into the motherboard which is the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 :(

I have this card firewire 800 PCIe Card. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EQ ... 00_details It was working just fine until today. I tried plugging in my drives... and... nothing!?? Any ideas by those more skilled than me would be greatly appreciated.

Does that mean I need to flash the motherboard with the latest bios? gigabyte says it's risky? This is my first computer build, so I'm trying to figure out all the pitfalls Thanks! Mat
