I was in your situation. Running 6600K with HD530 and having sleep issues. Then I bought a MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GT LP and now sleep is working. Just hope it stays that way :-)
I can't get my MSI 1050Ti to work after a reinstall of Sierra.
When I select "Nvidia Web Driver" in System preferences and reboot its back to "OS X Default Graphics Driver"
Why?
I have latest Clover with the "NvidiaWeb" checked
Running the latest Nvidia driver WebDriver-378.05.05.05f02
This is great. I now have a MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GT LP running in my rig. Got black screen at login, but that was fixed with this:

Just switched from a 1080p display to a 1440p display and it is recognized as Acer K272HUL but it say its 30,5inch and 1920x1080.
Cant change resolution under display. I only have "Default for display" and that gives me 1920x1080
Connected with HDMI
How do I fix this?
I have SSDT for CPU Power Management correct but with the computer just sitting idle with no programs running the CPU still runs at high frequency. It can run between 800MHz and 3500MHz.
Any idea how to make it run slower?
I have the same question. I'm about t build a new hackintosh. But to be at bit future proof I thought I'd go with the H270N instead of the H170N. I'm going to use a 6-series CPU
So? Will the H270N work? Or should I go with the H170N?
Tried to get the onboard audio working. Used Multibeast too install VooDooHDA v2.8.8 but no sound
Then I tried booting from the USB install stick. But that did not work either
Any one know what audio driver I need for this motherboard?
I tried this:
Set xHCI mode=disabled in BIOS
Set EHCI Hand Off = disabled in BIOS
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/static-audio-quality-diminishes-audio-stops-working-via-usb-interface.145491/page-2#post-1253437
That worked first reboot
Then I did another reboot and then my mouse would not...
I have ASUS P8H77-I with ebay USB-audio dongle. This dongle was working fine in other build (see signiture)
But with this motherboard with a Intel i3-3225 I only have sound for a couple of minutes watching youtube or anything in VLC. After that the sound disappears.
Im running El Capitan 11.5...
Now it happend again. But this time I turned off and booted into my Linux Mint that I have on another disk in the same computer.
After that when i try to boot to OSX I get a kernel panic. I run a fully updated El Capitan clover install.
Any ideas?
