Apologies for the incomplete information. I am trying to flash the onboard 10G. My ifconfig shows this:
So yes, I am trying to flash enp179s0f0 and enp179s0f1.
My concern was that in every lspci example I've seen, the four bits that precede the colon have always been "8086", not "1043" as seen...
I'm having a go a sorting my 10g NICs and wanted to see if I was well off base, as my "lspci -nn -vvv | grep Ethernet" results looked a bit different from what I saw in the MacRumors thread and KGP's walkthrough.
My subsystem output identifies the NICs as being "ASUSTeK Computer Inc."...
I'm on 3101 and patched the bios with shinoki7's patcher. Above 4g is set to "on".
With your EFI, I was able to install, reach desktop, and migrate the EFI to my internal SSD. On first glace things seem to be working as expected. My sincerest gratitude for getting me to this point.
Apologies if this is a rudimentary question, but I've been banging my head against the OpenCore documentation for the past day and a half and am on revision four of my EFI.
When I try to boot from my installer USB flash drive, I wind up at the prohibited sign unless I use the single USB 3.1...
Hey all. Currently putting together a x299 system with a Sage/10g, and I have what feels like it might be a foolish question.
I went with a Fenvi T919 card for WiFi/Bluetooth and was curious if any other Fenvi T919 users could tell me where/how you are connecting the USB 2.0/1.1 Header Cable...
I recently made the jump to 10.9 and in the process popped a new 770 into my desktop. Unfortunately, the 770 is performing about on par with my old 5770 on OpenGL tasks. While I’ve made some progress with the 770’s overall stability, I still can’t seem to get the GPU not to crawl while playing...
I tried asking this in the main Buying Advice subforum, but was told I might have better luck trying here.
I'm looking to upgrade the GPU in my desktop that is currently running 10.6.7. (I initially went with the ill fated XFX 5770 that had loads of issues with 10.6.8.) Now, I would like to...
This cheap ($10 shipped) D-Link Adapter has been great. I just plugged it in and it worked like a champ.

I'm at what seems to be an impasse with my SB build, and best I can tell it's down to my graphics card (an XFX HD-577A-ZNFC) at this point.
With iBoot+MultiBeast, I always end up with a grey screen once I install either the ATI+SB bootloader or the ATI 1.6.32.12 Drivers. The grey screen...
Thanks for the feedback Rankel.
Any suggestions on an alternate PSU? I found a few forum posts about the problem you mention, but didn't see anyone suggesting an alternate/longer PSU. Even after a bit of looking on Newegg, I didn't see much in the way of longer PSUs.
Someone has already given...
Though I'm in no big rush to build a new hackintosh, at this point there doesn't seem to be any reasons to hold off on a new build. That in mind, I am planning on going ahead with the build listed below unless someone here suggests otherwise.
MOBO: ASUS P8P67
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 2x4GB DDR3...
Thanks for posting this info. It should be handy when it comes time for me to overclock.
Are you using the stock cooler on this overclock? Also, what memory are you using?
