Thanks Rehabman, I was worried of unknown side effects. Note that the ig-platform-id is crucial on Broadwell Core M, as it seems it affects base CPU frequency. In my case (5Y10c/HD5300) injecting 0x16160002 works but base frequency is set at 1GHz and GPU memory in About this Mac is at 1536...
