Facetime Failed Solved on this system

I've verified that you only need to disable your HD audio and enable your front two stereo speakers to get Facetime to work. Do this through the Audio Midi utility available in the Utilities folder, which is inside the Applications folder. Facetime works like a charm.

Facetime Failed Solved on this system

Howdy, Use your Audio Midi Setup utility to configure your speakers. In fact, I haven't tested this yet, but you may be able to simply disable your HD audio and enable only the basic stereo to get Facetime to work. You may not need to delete HD audio completely, just sort of side-step it by...

Facetime Failed Solved on this system

I had been struggling like crazy trying to get Facetime to work, and finally found an answer thanks to another thread here. My solution comes in NOT using High Definition audio. Even though my motherboard supports it, I had to set Lion up to use vanilla stereo audio or Facetime would not work...

    Facetime on Hackintosh Lion

I couldn't find the Chimera 1.5.4 download. The only thing I found was 1.5.3 so it may have been pulled for some reason (no doubt good).

    Lost Audio upgrading to Lion

Hi, Just go into your System/Extensions folder and move the Kext for your audio chipset out to the desktop. Then rerun Multibeast selecting the 888 chipset and the HDA rollback options as well as the system utilities and you should be all set. When you upgrade to 7.1 you will probably have to...

    Mouse wheel intermittent

I found a similar problem. It turned out to be a conflict with my video card, believe it or not. I booted using a "vanilla video card" (an old one), let Lion come up and run successfully and then readded the new video card. It all worked OK after that.

Novice needs guidance for lion installation.

Hi, Where is the installation failing? Does iBoot come up and are you pressing F5 after you place the Snow Leopard Install disk in your DVD drive? How far does it get into the installation before it stops?

    Facetime Error?

Yep. It's a known problem and the normal solution of searching Keychain Access in Spotlight and deleting a specific object doesn't help. I have a feeling Apple will be fixing this one as it affects many many upgraders.

    Lost Sound

Glad it worked for ya. I also got HD 5.1 video working by using the 892 beta installer and then going into the Midi Audio controller and creating an aggregate device. Good luck!

    Lost Sound

I lost sound, too. Go into your System Extensions and remove all of the HDA audio extensions. (Drag them to your desktop or to the trash.) Open Multibeast 3.8 and reselect your audio. Then reboot. That should resolve your problem. (I still need to reconfigure HD Audio, but at least I have stereo...

    GA-P55-USB3 Success!

Good luck with yours. I am noticing a few minor irritants, but it could be a Snow Leopard thing rather than a motherboard thing. The system does not seem to parallel process as well as I thought it would, but I have been running several apps at the same time. iPhoto and iTunes doing their...

    GA-P55-USB3 Success!

Hi All, I had amazing success using Multibeast with the install instructions. The key is to do a clean install and not run Multibeast over a previous install - particularly if you're a Noob as I am. When you run the Apple Software Update, run it from the combo update file that you download...

How to use iBoot as Rescue Disk and Multibeast from iBoot

Tony, Thanks for the reply. I have tried that, and I'll be darned if I'm still not able to get either a keyboard or mouse working when I get into OSX. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong with Multibeast, then. I'll give it another try. It doesn't take that long to reinstall everything at this...

How to use iBoot as Rescue Disk and Multibeast from iBoot

Hi, I'm having problems getting the updates to keep from losing USB functionality following the Snow Leopard Update. I install and everything runs successfully. After rebooting, I run the updates as described in the instructions. That update runs for a few moments and then appears to finish. I...
