NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (387.10.10.10.30)

Update to all this. I tried the latest NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext 1.2.5 (I was using ver 1.1.2, shocking). It didn't produce any visual improvement in Chrome. Then I found the driver patch script https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update and decided give a try to .106 version bash <(curl...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (387.10.10.10.30)

Sounds like it's a right thread. So, after upgrading to 10.13.4 yesterday. I noticed Chrome was super sluggish, especially with 2D acceleration, like sliding down a part of the screen. images.google.com is a good example. Google for an image and then pick one. It will expand that image and the...

    [SUCCESS] Macboy123s Coffee Lake i7 8700K, Gigabyte Z370 Aorus UG, 16GB RAM, 2x SSD, Zotac GTX 1080

Thank you for the great guide! I'm going through the build myself now with Aorus Gaming WIFI board. Most of it works already, I'm writing from the system, but little details are still not in place. One comment on this --

Clover with the old guard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

It could be, I wouldn't know. I didn't edit mine. I think it came from tonymac library here. I could share it with you, but mine is rev1 and most likely will break more stuff than not for you.

Clover with the old guard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

rev1 is my board, BIOS F7f. I almost went with USB sound as well, but eventually got it working, see my post here http://www.tonymacx86.com/alternate-bootloaders/145429-clover-old-guard-ga-x58a-ud3r-rev-2-0-a-6.html#post919697

Clover with the old guard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

What throughput? HDD/SSD? I'm not sure how MacPro5,1 can help. It's Xeon based system, not i7. Could you be more specific, what exactly you have fixed with this spec?

Clover with the old guard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

The only thing, it reports 1600MHz, when it's actually set to 1280. But I don't think if I should care about it..

I didn't do anything actually.. Just had XMPDetection set to 1, see pic. It's also enabled in BIOS of course. Here are the parts of bdmesg related to memory ... 2:315 0:002 Total Memory Slots Count = 6 2:315 0:000 Type 17 Index = 0 2:315 0:000 SmbiosTable.Type17->Speed = 400MHz...

I'm using iMac11,3, it has 2.93 GHz Core i7 (I7-870) in the spec. iMac11,1 has 2.8 GHz Core i7 (I7-860). Should be the same thing.

I called them today. I had to wait a little, but the rest was super easy, all they asked is my AppleID.

Clover with the old guard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

It's all in BIOS. Basically, it's your BCLK*multipliers. BCLK normally is 133, since PCI days, unless you kicked it up and overlocked to 160, like Spos did. :) So, for 133 your multiplier will be 26 and the actual freq for CPU is 3458. But you'll have to look up QPI, I don't have data to...
