Files attached..
"NormalBoot" is from a restart.. with backlight problem.
"sleep" is after wake from sleep and working back light control.
Brightness from 80% to 100% is the same it doesn't change..but it's fine with me.
OK I noticed something ..The back light works after the laptop wakes from sleep. It's my first time putting the laptop to sleep after fresh installing Mojave. So i don't what exactly fixed it.
How should I report this? debug files before and after the sleep ? can we do something about it now...
OK I've fixed the port that was causing the issue..
one of your notes before I re-installed Mojave was :
"- ACPI not patched correctly (eg. no allowance for _OSI("Darwin"). Best to use _OSI->XOSI and SSDT-XOSI.aml"
Do I still need to do it?
I'll try to do an EC reset now.
That's when I was trying to use _OSI->XOSI but couldn't figure it out so I stopped missing with it and said I'll try to fix the backlight issue first then go back to the USB problem so I don't confuse my self with different guides.
I edited the resolution in my profile.. Is there anything can...
There's no "ProductID=******" entry as seen in the picture attached.
Should I use the default config.plist that comes with the RehabMan Clover installer ?
In SysPrefs->Displays I get the same thing I tried to describe before.. brightness slider but it doesn't work and if I get it lower than 20%...
OK..I want to focus on the backlight issue now.. I read the thread and I'm using the latest RehabMan clover.
-I started with a clean install now and didn't update to the beta.
-I re-applied the steps mentioned in this guide but with no luck.
- Read the link you mentioned and nothing worked for...
I started with a fresh install now .. I'm still reading about the " _OSI->XOSI and SSDT-XOSI.aml" thing.
I fixed the audio with the kext mentioned..So I wanted to ask you.. Did you do anything else other than the things mentioned in your guide to fix the brightness? reading every article out...
Really appreciate you're baring with me.. Ok there is a new problem ..the audio will work every other reboot.
(ex: I will reboot now and it'll work..reboot again it won't..then reboot for the third time it will work.)
Attached are the logs when the sound didn't work.. and visually I can see it...
Ok .. I read it carefully that's why it was in L/E .. but then When you told me #3 it should be installed to the system volume I thought you meant SYSTEM/L/E ..
So I moved it from L/E .. to S/L/E
So this was a big confusion for me.Wish there was a clear note for noobs.
..
Will move them and...
