For anyone still using this board, just updated to 10.9.2 using the app store, works fine. Replaced AppleHDA and everything else is perfect, took 5 minutes :)

DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD aren't supported over SPDIF/Toslink so it will have to be HDMI, I haven't yet tried to get HDMI Audio working so I can't help you yet. Will have a play sometime this week and see if I can get it working along side the VIA chip.

Do you have UEFI enabled on the board or are you still using BIOS? If you have UEFI you should probably use clover rather than Chimera. The audio was easy just follow these instructions: http://www.osx86.net/topic/16228-guide-via-vt2021-audio-on-os-x-108x109/

I don't use HDMI audio so haven't bothered trying to get that to work, I use the onboard VIA chipset using Optical Out :) I am going to try and get the HDMI audio working at some point and if I figure it all out, I'll create a whole guide on how I set it up to get it working 100% I have now...

I'm using Clover as my Bootloader. DSDT is only modified for Audio, nothing else. SSDT for Speedstepping/Turbo on the CPU. Graphics Drivers - None, works Out of the box.

I ran the commands again and rebooted, this time I have not lost audio but still see no encoded audio options in the MIDI options :( ioreg file attached

I repaired Permissions and I cleared the cache. Version of the Kext is 2.3.1 When I reboot, System Information shows the same thing, all the inputs/outputs exactly as they were, but there is no audio. Audio Preferences show no inputs/outputs.
