We've been running an i7-6700k for the last 13 3 years on our studio rig. No issues here. Only reason we're considering the 9700k/9900k route is for 4K video-editing and future proofing a bit.

Experiencing the same issue on my Z170X UD5 TH board. Have a support case open with Gigabyte atm.

That's a shame. I haven't experienced any issues with my ASUS GTX 1060 6GB. Runs 4K @ 60hz no problem over DP. I'll definitely keep an eye on the thread, and see if I can assist in some fashion.

2014 rMBP updated build to reflect: 17C205. Awaiting NVIDIA web drivers to update Hackintosh. Edit: Updated once the NVIDIA driver became available. No issues during installation and reboot process(es). Apollo Twin interface is working fine. Good deal.
