Update! I upgraded my i7 to an i9-9900KS. In hind sight I probably could have gone for just the i9 but I’ll use it for some Windows gaming, too, and it’ll do awesome at that, too!
Also, in a roundabout way, I ended up getting my Gigabyte Thunderbolt Titan Ridge card to work with my ASUS Z390...
Hey @rjroser! I actually don’t have my iGPU working either. It won’t hurt anything by any means, but having it working could possibly help your rendering and Geekbench scores. Go back to like page 1 or 2 of this thread. There’s a guy who posted a how to link for getting your iGPU to work. It...
UPDATE TO THE BUILD:
Added a FENVI FV-T919 Airport and Bluetooth card. This thing worked OOTB without any sort of installation or mods to my build. Would highly recommend it so far!
As for my TB-3 GC-TITAN RIDGE card, not as great of news. It seems likes both TB3 ports are working and...
The way most people have installed Mojave I've read (including my own build), has been to install high Sierra and then do an update once you kind of have things to a workable point.
Actually you know what, I totally forgot but my Apple thunderbolt Cinema Display is apparently TB1, and it’s working as well as the USB ports and audio in it too. So I’d say TB1 works with the adapter for sure.
You know, I don’t think I actually have any Thunderbolt 1 devices. I’m using my UAD and Black Magic Design pieces with a Thunderbolt 2 adapter but I don’t think I currently have any TB1 devices.
@magyara well I just started running Ableton 10 on it so it’s a little hard to say. But so far no issues. I also run protools as well but have yet to install it. If I run into any problems I’ll be sure to update my build page, but so far so good!
I am/ was in your same boat. Built mine for production with Ableton 10 and came from a mid 2012 MacBook Pro.
The only change I would consider is AMD instead of Nvidia as Nvidia stuff isn’t playing nicely with Mojave yet. But if you want to do High Sierra I’m sure this build would work great...
I would try to get your EFI settings right on a USB stick before you commit them to your hard drive or SSD.
It looks like MultiBeast has been updated since I did my install so I would probably try to use that first before messing with settings individually via Clover Configurator or the like.
