Would it make more sense to go with the Gigabyte Z370-HD3 and an i3-8100 instead? That way they would both be compatible and one gen newer, if I'm not mistaken?
I'm planning to build my first Hackintosh, need to be able to dual boot with Windows as well. I've checked compatibility and see no issues, is there something I could be missing?
CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor

Where can I find a copy of AppleACPIPlatform.kext? I don't want to do a complete reinstall of Mountain Lion....
I should just remove NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and repair permissions, correct?
Thanks!
Okay. I've got everything except for graphics (hopefully!) implemented. I haven't added -gux-defer-usb2 to the kernel flags section of my boot.plist, so that's why that might not show up. However, I did boot up with it before and it seemed to work fine.
Here's my updated ioreg:
But "About...
Okay, so I got the MacBookAir6,2 smbios to get power management fully working and I removed EvOReboot.kext. All I need now is QE for graphics, backlight control, and the AppleLPC kext.
I have considered using Clover, but as you can probably tell, I am a huge noob at this, even with...
Alright. Also, Multibeast has no system definition checkbox for MacBookAir6,2. Guessing I have to do something extra to create that smbios?
EDIT: I'm an idiot and I didn't see that it could be created with Chameleon Wizard. Whoops.
I'll get working on that. Sorry, I made the noob mistake of posting this in the Yosemite laptop support form when I originally wrote this. I'm actually running Mountain Lion. That might be the reason why the AppleACPIPlatform kext is the wrong version.
Also, I'm guessing -gux_defer_usb2 is a...
I know this thread is for fixing the Mac App Store, but I've encountered another problem on my Hackintosh. Whenever I click "About This Mac", I get logged out....I've tried doing stuff with OSX86Tools to fix it but nothing seems to be working. System Information (System Profiler) works with no...
Alright -
I tried using MaciAML but that kept crashing upon start. Instead, I used DSDT Editor and patched the DSDT. Booted the system up with -v and DSDT=/Extra/dsdt.aml, the system boots flawlessly, and I even get a log message saying the Ethernet MAC address is 11:22:33:44:55:66. I also...
I don't have any DSDT's. I'm assuming I need to make a new one to get this to work? I don't really know, I'm a noob and the instructions are a bit unclear.
Thanks!
Alright, I installed it using Kext Utility. I took the patch.txt and opened a new TextEdit document and pasted the contents of patch.txt into it and saved it as ssdt-1.aml in /Extra. I'm still getting the error though, so I don't really think I installed it correctly....
Thanks for all your...
Hi there everyone-
I successfully Hackintoshed my Acer C720 Chromebook with OS X 10.8.5 (whenever I try something newer I get stuck at XCPM: registered). I used a USB Wi-Fi adapter to get Wi-Fi access.
The problem is that no iCloud services work. Whenever I try to log in to the Mac App Store...
