Sound is working now !
Solution: The Codec Dump from Ubuntu was incorrect (?). It told me that I have ALC271x. But then I found this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/question-alc269-applehda-patch-no-sound.183687/
So I tried to create a ALC269VBv2 dummyHDA and config.plist...
I followed those two guides and spent several days reading tons of posts. Is there something that I overlooked in the Notebook's Guide?
Is there nothing suspicious in the outputs that I add in the last post I made?
Would be great if you could give me a hint.
Sincerely,
Marcel
Thank you for the fast reply. I don't know what you mean with "required ACPI patches". What I've tried now: I used Patchmatic to create a DSDT and some SSDTs and moved them to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched. Then I used MaciASL to patch the AppleHDA Patcher's system_IRQ.txt into the DSDT.
Still no...
Hello guys,
I successfully installed El Capitan (10.11.6, Clover, UEFI Mode) on my Acer Aspire S3 391. Everything works except the sound.
I used the AppleHDA Patcher 1.6 to generate a Clover's config.plist and a aDummyHDA.kext. Then I used Kext Wizard to install the aDummyHDA.kext to S/L/E...
Yes you are right
That's how I solved it: I opened the content of the downloaded elan kext. Then I found the ApplePS2Keyboard.kext in the plugins folder. In the content of the ApplePS2Keyboard.kext I found the info.plist. There I had to look for "Num Lock On = True/Yes" and change it...
I removed all kexts that where listed on the page. I found out that the NumLock was active. My problem now is, after every reboot the NumLock activates itself. I have to deactive it every time after reboot. This only happens with the v3 and v4 (the .zips with just one kext) :wtf:
Thank you, that solved my problem but now I have a "bug" with my keyboard. When I install Elan v4, for example the key 'i' returns '5' and '0' returns '/'. When I uninstall Elan v4 and use Elan v2, this bug disappears. What did I do wrong?
Hey guys,
I am using two kexts to get my Elan Touchpad working. Now I can use gestures and do some settings in Settings>Trackpad. But now my problem is that I can't use the physical left button to drag something.
I know there is the possibility to drag with double tap but isn't there a...
Hey guys,
I successfully installed Yosemite on my Aspire S3 391 and everything seems to work fine except the WLAN. My problem is that this Laptop has a non-supported Wifi soldered on the controller.
Now my idea is to replace the "Acer Phison M-SATA Mini PCI-E 20GB SSD KN.0200Q.005" with...
There is only one difference between the Aspire S3-391-53314G12add and the Aspire S3-391-53314G52add. The first one has 128 GB SSD and the second one has 500 GB HDD. That's why I tried to use its DSDT.
Do I have to create my own DSDT (I cant find a DSDT for my Notebook) or can I edit the Aspire...
I successfully installed Yosemite on my Acer Aspire S3 391 53314g52add. But sometimes, when I shutdown the system, the fans keep spinning.
I used this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-laptop-support/114040-guide-acer-s3-391-ivy-bridge.html
Here are the kexts I installed with...
Hey guys,
I successfully installed Mavericks 10.9.5 and everything seems to work except the ethernet. My ethernet only works every second boot. In the DCPIManager the ethernet is list as "RTL8168D, en0, BuiltIn". In the pre-installation I installed the official Apple Realtek driver with...
Hey,
I successfully installed OS X 10.9.4 on my Acer Aspire S3-391 but now I have a big problem. I can't use special characters. Instead e.g. Alt Gr+Q closes my windows and when I press Alt Gr+L, nothing happens. I already tried custom keyboard layouts. I have noticed that when I connect an...
