Just trying to understand the EFI system a little better.
I'm using legacy mode for booting (not sure if that makes a difference).
Should I have an EFI partition JUST on my boot drive? I'm noticing in Clover Configurator that my two drives which form a RAID set each have an EFI partition too...
Did you ever get your system running? On my Dell Precision T3600 I can't get HDD0-HDD3 to be recognized by MacOS.
Have you found a way to install the C600 chipset into MacOS?
Has anyone gotten a dell t3600 to work properly with either the intel c600 chipset activating HDD0 - HDD3 or by getting the perc h310 sas card to work?
I've looked into the Cfg Lock disabling in other threads and I've seen that it's beyond my abilities (especially since I'm using Clover, not OpenSource).
Like @nickhen, I have to reboot 4 or 5 (or occasionally 8) times and then it works. Are there other options for caches that should be...
I read on this thread (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/osxaptiofix2drv-64-efi-vs-osxaptiofix2drv-free2000-efi.292320/) to never use the kext you recommended.
Any other possibilities to fix the "Error: Aborted returned from boot.efi" error?
After one restart, putting the boot flags back in, Catalina seemed to complete installation, but after the second automatic restart, even with the boot flags I'm getting the "Error: Aborted returned from boot.efi" error.
I removed my data disks from their connections and was able to get it to start; perhaps there's an old EFI partition on one of them that is causing this error when I'm booting onto the unibeast disk.
I wiped and formatted a disk to AFPS instead of HFS+ and connected by USB; Catalina is now...
Ok, with simply using those flags in the clover options, I got my unibeast disk to boot into the install screen once, however I couldn't get the installer to recognize my HDD or SDD when plugged in internally. The drives were recognized in the F12 list of boot options, so I know they're there...
I'm having issues with my Precision T3600, bios A18, that I just got from a friend. I'm trying the unibeast install disk for Catalina but I can't get the usb disk to boot! It's getting stuck on "Error: Aborted returned from boot.efi".
I'll try the flags you listed above, but could you also...
I'm getting this error on my Catalina unibeast boot up on a new machine (dell precision t3600).
I've recreated the unibeast drive, thinking that it might have been corrupt, but I get the same problem.
What could fix this?
