Thanks for the help @dobo. Not sure if my windows is legacy. However it is not the OEM installed version of Windows 8.1, I wiped the drive clean and experimented with Linux before reinstalling windows and setting up a hackintosh. My computer does support UEFI though so it might be UEFI.

FCPX 10.1.4, crashes all the time...conditions vary, but it's mostly when I'm trying to move footage to the timeline. When I click the footage I want to add, I get a beachball then a crash. I've deleted my library and my events, and re-imported everything, but still...crashes. :(

Is there something I could do to make the microphone work with my applehda? it's the only HDA i could find for my audio codec other than voodoohda with which the sound works but like i said the microphone does not detect input and plays high pitched screeches when there is speech or it is touched.
