Hi guys, I am building my first PC for Hackintosh. I want to make this system a dual-boot OS 10.latest version, and Windows 8/10 system. Windows 10/8 for gaming on windows-only games like GTA V, Payday 2, Space Engineers, Fallout 4, Arma 3, Cities Skylines, etc., and OS X for everything else. I want this system to be as compatible with Hackintosh/OS X as possible, so it will be relatively quick and easy to set up with everything working.

I have assembled two builds for this, one of which contains a GTX 970, one of which contains a GTX 980. You may notice the CPU coolers have changed between the two builds, that's for cost saving measures... no way would I ever overclock to what i want to on this cooler (i hope to reach at least 4 GHz, hopefully higher). if I got the 980 I wouldn't overclock very much if at all until I got the same cooler in the 970 build, the Kraken x61.

Also, I have a couple questions. Would I have to set everything back up all over again if I updated my BIOS, or a driver, or updated OS X? I think I remember reading somewhere that software updates on Hackintosh are very very difficult because they break almost everything! :beachball:

All currency is in Canadian and the prices are terrible because of the exchange rate, only 70 cents CAD to USD or something like that :(

Please offer any cheaper parts, more compatible parts, or any other advice you have for this! :)

edit: Also I already own storage, and do not need to buy more.

What about storage ? An SSD for a boot drive, 1T HDD for games. Looks like you'll
need both of those to complete your potential build.
