Even though I mounted the EFI partition I want to install Clover to, the Clover installer does not show the EFI partition as a destination to install to. How should I fix this?

Thanks for the fix! Just did the build an installation procedures again but although VoodooPS2Controller.kext is in /Library/Extensions somehow the trackpad does not work (as a mouse), it does nothing at all. Any clue?

Nice! Hoping that I followed the procedure correctly, hereby the ioreg. Edit: ioreg was created after a clean install using install_8x0g3_skylake (now also the keyboard brightness keys are working).

If I may ask, why? The trackpad works for basic clicking using your VoodooPS2Controller when I am in the installer. Furthermore the laptop is comparable to the other laptops supported by this guide in my opinion (almost anything works using the already existing ProBook_4x0s_G3_Skylake...

That clarifies a lot. Just found out about AppleALC, that seems a good solution too.

To make sure I understood it correct: 1. Find .xml's suitable for your audio chip. 2. Edit the info.plist inside AppleHDA.kext with the XML data. Rebuild kext caches. 3. Try, goto 1 if the it doesn't work.
