    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Crazy. I updated the BIOS, booted with your EFI and I still get the slow rendering and barely-used GPU in Geekbench. I have no idea anymore. I even tried Casey's EFI with iMac19,1 (turned the iGPU back on) and it's the same.

I'm on F8 still. I assume I need to update to find the CFG lock?

Thanks. The current EFI I uploaded was something I found elsewhere and was trying since I couldn't get mine to work since 6.9. I think I ran it through the updater and it's stable other than the rendering issue, despite the mess. Unfortunately I couldn't get yours to boot (hangs on...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I think it's a problem with something OSX, but not all the programs. At any rate I get 60k in Big Sur, and 100k in Mojave in Geekbench. Both seem normal. I notice the slow speeds when rendering though, that's what made me look into it. I've attached the EFI I'm using at the moment. I've kind of...

It might be that something changed. I have Mojave still installed on another disk and it uses the VII with Final Cut Pro and the rendering is much quicker. Edit: Here are a couple of screenshots. The first is Big Sur and OC running Geekbench (Metal and OpenCL), the second is the same two tests...

Currently trying that. I realized that it's the Apple programs that aren't using the card. Luxmark maxes it out.

Thanks for your reply. I've done all that. No idea what I'm doing wrong. Anyway, it works fine, just the rendering is slower than with Mojave and Clover. Annoying to upgrade and lose speed.

Sorry for the late reply. I was traveling. I thought my GPU device properties were configured correctly. Where would you suggest I find the correct properties? The Dortana guide isn't very specific on Radeon VIIs.

I have. Usage is at 30%. Before it was at 100% and the difference in render time is dramatic.

Is anyone else having issues with their Radeon card not getting utilized for video rendering? I noticed a slowdown in workflow recently and I'm not sure what I broke in OpenCore. Compressor/Final Cut both use the CPU much more than the GPU, and according to VideoProc my GPU is recognized and...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Thanks. I've always used iMacPro1,1, but I'll see if I can figure out what settings I have wrong.

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

That would be great. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Never had this issue before with OC or Clover.

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

I can do it this weekend. arthurmelo says his is working fine though, so I'll see if it's something else.

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Are people still getting good performance from Radeon cards with OC .6.8 and up? It seems to me that my Radeon VII has stopped being used for rendering, even though all the programs say hardware acceleration is enabled. Render times have shot up, and I can see the CPU is being utilized more...

Wow. Why are the prices so crazy on Radeon VIIs? I got mine new for one third of the price they're going for now. Edit: I just looked it up. Apparently they're one of the best cards still for computational tasks (especially video) and mining.
