I literally gave up on this problem about 4 months ago. You have literally saved me from making an unnecessary purchase...or two. You're awesome. It worked immediately. Video and sound perfect! Now to just download all of my content onto my Hack - making it so much more useful!

HDCP footage seems unable to play despite an HDCP compliant monitor, GPU, and cable. Thinking the problem MAY get fixed when Mountain Lion comes out, but until then, I still can't play my 100GB of purchased TV shows. =. Any tips or ideas that I haven't already tried would be greatly appreciated!

Well, all of my hardware is HDCP read. I've been able to play 1080p Movie Trailers without any issues. I can also play the same 1080p files that I cannot play through iTunes - I can play them on my iPhone 4S. I tried downloading free HD 1080p and 720p video with no luck either. Not really sure...

UPDATE: [Can play SD video and plays HD Trailers - there seems to be a problem with playability with items previously purchased] So I've had my Hackintosh working for quite some time now (about 2 weeks, lol) and I have come into no hiccups until last night (and today): iTunes will not play TV...

For starters, I have not built my own computer in well over 10 years (that was with lots of help :D ), but I have put my research in (Hours everyday for more than two weeks now). Despite the amount of time dedicated, I'm still no expert. So that's where y'all come in. :) Looking for green...
