I know this is a silly question, but I just got the Fractal Core 1000 and the Corsair H60. How did you install the H60? The Core 1000's fan slot in the back is too small for it to install. Where did you put it? Thanks for any help you can provide.. -FP

A friend wanted a Hackintosh so I had him buy the CustoMac Budget mATX from the January buyers guide. The case is a Fractal Core 1000 and the cooler is a Corsair H60. Unless I'm missing something, the H60 requires a rear 120mm fan position and the Core 1000 has a 92mm fan position back there...

I'm running 10.7.4 and on a Gigabyte p67a-ud3-b3 with near perfect results. One thing that stumps me though is my PCI-Express Firewire Card (TI Chipset). If I have a drive (or camera) plugged in during a cold boot, it works perfectly. If I need to plug in anything else, or if I warm booted...

So the fakesmc probably never was involved... it probably just randomly worked that one boot. So... this topic could be deleted.. or you could all helpfully chime in on why my firewire pci card is intermittent? (Only in mac.. on pc boot, all is well, so it's not hardware.) -FP

Weirder and weirder.. So now, firewire sometimes works.. seems like from a cold boot, it's good. But sometimes it gives the errors and won't let anything connect.. Anyone?

One more thing that I'm hesistant to add since it seems super weird. After I booted without fakesmc and firewire worked, when I subsequently booted into Win 7, it ran a new hardware wizard and found the firewire card. The card had been listed and working in Device Manager the whole time, but...

I've just wiped and rebuilt my whole system. Finally, everything seems to work except firewire. If I use -v during boot, I see Firewire GUID fffffffff is invalid! several times. In Profiler, it says "Cannot list firewire devices" I read that in 10.6.8, fakesmc was no longer needed, so as a...
