thank you for the advice :) - i may do that next time i have a Hack but this time the customer went and got a macbook and turned the hack back into a PC so all id good now and they had the mac back :)
Cheers, I dont mind doing this install the 'right' way if i was going to re-do it from scratch but I was just trying to get this boot to work the way it did before the power cut?
I personally didnt build this hackintosh so i dont know the board, dont know what settings i needed in Bios or the...
This install originally worked without any issues as far as i know.. after the power cut it failed to boot... i didnt make the hack i have been given it to see if i can make it boot again.. found it to be a PSU issue and swapped it out.. the bios was corrupted so i had to try and set it back...

I originally had it at AHCI but still getting the same problems..... I set it all back as per the images attached but I still get it booting to a black screen - sits there for a bit...flashes and still black... then nothing :(

Just got hold of a friends Hackintosh after a power outage and wouldn't boot back into High Sierra. Found it took out the PSU and corrupted the Bios (reset)
Motherboard: GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3
i7 CPU 2600K
I can only boot when I use the UNIBEAST USB?
I didn't build this hackintosh so not sure what...
UPDATE:
Tried CLOVER CONFIGURATOR on my mac to update the SMBIOS to MacbookPro5,1 (my pc is closer to the 4,1 but wont work with EL CAPITAN) but the 5,1 expects a 9600m Nvidia when i use a NVIDIA 8400m 128mb....
I now get the OS start to load in -v mode but then panics and the text overwrites...
UPDATE:
correction to above: EL CAPITAN will not boot either since it says I cant load this OSX on this system.....
I have since read about changing my SMBIOS to best suit my machine in relationship to a macbook. I found my machine was close to a Mid 2009 core 2 Duo Unibody. so will try that...
