My disk is already GPT, as you can see from the attached image. The 55.42 GB partition is OS X, the 55.57 GB one is Windows.

Really? Isn't there a way to format only EFI partition? Maybe once formatted, it could mount and allow installing of the bootloader...

OK, but I've got both OS X and Windows on the same disk, I'd like to keep Windows partition without losing any data. How can I do?

UPDATE: tried with an USB 3.0 Flash Drive... system profiler detects it, but no drive shows in Finder nor on the Desktop...

I also noticed slightly longer boot time compared to 10.7.4, but it's common as I read on another thread.
