Solved: it was something I had mounted. A sparse bundle and when I removed the .DS_Store and .Trashes in that bundle the Finder doesn't barf on my root filesystem.
Seems odd, but that appears to be the thing. I found it by clicking on the label for the sparse bundle, then the same thing...
One other tidbit of info:
This morning I updated the Cuda drivers via the System Prefs to version 7.0.35 and the system immediately hung hard. I had to hit the reset button.
The Finder crashes started sometime after this.
That is the HD for my hack under Devices in the Finder. Running 10.9.5. I removed /System/Library/Caches, /Library/Caches and /Users/$USER/Library/Caches. Killed Finder. Still happens.
Ideas?
More info:
$ otool -L UniBeast
UniBeast:
/usr/lib/libcrypto.0.9.8.dylib (compatibility version 0.9.8, current version 0.9.8)
/System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 55002.0.0)...
OK, I ran Unibeast 5.0.1 in a shell and get this when I click on the Agree button:

0 CoreFoundation 0x00007fff8adca25c __exceptionPreprocess + 172
1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff8b7d1e75...
It doesn't matter what I click on "Read License" or "Disagree" or "Agree", the dialog stays up and doesn't continue to the next step.
I rebooted. My system is behaving normally in every other way.
HELP!
Thanks.
EDIT: I also re-downloaded the Unibeast 5.0.1 zip file. Same deal.
I'm...
I have the GA-Z87X-UD5H with 4x32GB of Corsair Vengeance LP. After the upgrade to 10.9.3 I too had random freezes after a few minutes logged in.
I disabled the XMP memory profile and it dropped my speed down to 1333. The system is once again rock solid.
