Hi, Edhawk. Thank you for your response. Can you please define "borked." Corrupted? Or damaged? I've tried to boot up with delete, F12, tried flashing it with end. It's caught in a loop. I cannot get it to go to the BIOS screen or to somehow boot from USB. Just a loop of rebooting. Eric

Greetings again. So, I got back, picked up a new battery, and... Now it's caught in a restart loop. It turns on, goes for a couple seconds, then restarts... again and again and again. I put the old battery back in (I could boot up into Windoze before), but same thing. Thoughts? Thanks!

So, battery arrived, but apparently they are not universal? I’ve tried, gently, to make the new one (left) fit, but I don’t think it will. Does anyone recognize these formats? Are they the same and I just need to be less gentle? Thanks

Thanks, it’s not looking so bad considering 7 years, here’s the graphic card. Will give it a “tuneup” as you suggest. Battery arrives today, fingers crossed…

Ok, I found it. Looks like it's a watch battery, but wrapped up in black plastic with a dual wire heading out. On Amazon there's a bunch, are these universal or do I need to find one specific for Gigabyte boards, and even mine in particular? Apologies for dumb questions.

I am looking for the battery right now, assuming it's on the motherboard. Yes, I did notice that the time/date was off yesterday and corrected that, it didn't make any difference. Then today it was still showing the same time as yesterday.
