Yes, and your guide covers that quite clearly (thanks). I did all that but still got the kernel panic, which is why I said it's obviously else I'm doing wrong.
All that said, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as far as I have if these guides didn't exist. I've got Sierra reinstalled now...
So close. Installer finished, everything looked good. Ran Multibeast and I've obviously selected a wrong option somewhere as the system won't boot now. I did notice in Clover options, though, that the FakeCPUID was back to 0x00000000 whereas I always had to specify the Skylake FakeCPUID of...
I've managed to get the Sierra installer going now. Still have some things to work out, though - the installer says 11 minutes remaining and has been that way for over an hour now (said 12 minutes before). Machine hasn't hung and the bar does move a minuscule amount every now and then, but I...
Ok, fair comment, but I already followed that guide (down to the letter, as far as I can tell). It seemingly makes no difference what I do - as soon as I put HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_4.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other, the kernel panic comes back. Removing that file allows me to get much further...
Got past that bit by following the instructions and using a USB 2.0 port ... doh.
Installer beach balls before actually coming up. That's the next issue to solve. :)
Ok so I've stopped the PC from throwing the kernel panic. Looks like something wrong with HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_4.kext or the way I've put it on the EFI device. Removing that file stops the kernel panics.
Now, though, I get that error that says Still waiting for root device. I've tried...
Hi all,
I'm going through the Hackintosh/TonyMacx86 thing for the first time but I can't get my system to get past kernel panic during boot.
My configuration is almost identical to the original poster of this thread...
Man, I dunno what you did to get this working but I'm so stuck it's kinda ridiculous.
My motherboard is the Z270F which I know others have gotten working, but I'm just getting kernel panic every time the USB boots. FakeCPUID is setup, NVME M.2 kexts seem to be all in there.
I don't suppose...
