Nobody,
Thanks for responding. Yes, after I cloned the drive I used the standalone Chimera app (4.1.0) and targeted the external partition "OSX Backup".
Do you think it's hardware compatibility or perhaps the fact that the drive is partitioned? The mother board is just seeing one big drive...
I've partitioned an external Seagate Backup Plus (usb 3.0) into two drives.
On one Partition I've used CCC to clone my OSX drive (with Chimera installed afterwards). The other partition is just media backup.
When I'm selecting a drive to boot from should I not see the two partitions?
When I...
Thanks for the replies everyone!!! I figured it was a non issue but it's nice to have a confirmation.
I did originally do a search for this issue but probably didn't dig deep enough.
Forum is good. Lots of knowledgable people around. Thanks again!
Thanks for your reply. I've read a lot of mixed reviews on the combo cards working properly. I'm trying to keep everything as vanilla as possible. No KEXTS edit. I installed a AR928O and this works OOB recognized as apple airport extreme.
The dongle works great but I think I will want to...
Another Update: The lag on the mouse came back. Reading through the forums someone else had the same issue with lag and fixed it with proximity.
I ran a usb extension cord from my computer to behind my monitors and the dongle now sits behind the monitors.
Unbelievable. I'm not sure if these...
I'm not sure if there is a way to disable the card in the bios. That would be interesting. Let me know what you find out.
The bottom line for me is that the combo card is cancer and cancer should be removed. The GMYLE worked right out of the box immediately (plug it in and go). It did however...
This is the combo wi-fi/bluetooth half mini card that comes with the Z87N-WIFI and also the H87N-WIFI. Do yourself a favor before you install and rip it out!!!!!!!!!! :D
We all know the wi-fi card will never work and the forum is littered with posts from people trying to get the bluetooth...
Another Update: I ended up doing a fresh install due to other configuring and messing around. Just a note on getting both network ports working. The method above still worked for me but sometimes I noticed that I needed to switch back and forth between the two network ports more than once for it...
My internal temps are ranging from 30-40 c which seems normal.
CPU Heatsink registers as 73 and never changes. The CPU fan is functioning and the heatsink is not hot to touch so I don't think it's a hardware issue.
Safe to assume it's a software bug? Anyone else experience this?
Just curious about everyone's out of the box experience with this GMYLE Bluetooth Adapter (Chipset BCM20702 - 10m range only) and what your setups and bios settings are.
Mine are:
- Plugged into USB 3 port (I think the GMYLE's data is USB 2.0 but that's the port I had available. Doesn't seem...
Update: Re-installed both network drivers using previous version of MultiBeast (6.1).
- Ran MB 6.1 and installed both drivers. Rebooted. Repaired disk permissions and rebooted again.
- Loaded Mavericks 10.9.2 switched cable to other network port.
- Opened Network under system preferences and...
