Just wanted to mention here that the 11.4 update combo worked fine. I didn't need to reinstall the audio driver. Just the nvidia webdriver update.
Yes once you have your card working again you login to the ip of your router and somewhere in your settings you should be able to switch off 5ghz, again I'm assuming you have a dual band router. Then connect to the 2.4ghz SSID on your Mac. If that works and you try the same trick for the 5ghz...
I'm assuming you have a dual band router? Have you tried testing both 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies? Can you at least connect to the 2.4? I had a similar issue but only on my 5ghz frequency. My remedy was to force a separate channel on my router as my neighbors were already using some of the channels...
I installed the combo 11.3 patch updated the NVIDIA drivers (via the preference pane), rebooted with nv_disable=1 flag and ran the AGDPfix.
All working again. Did not need to reinstall my Audio.
Found this clip on YouTube illustrating the performance difference between the various SSD drives, i.e. pcie vs m2 vs SSD. The choice is obvious.

So its just plug and play? I.e. place the PCIE card in a slot and it works out of the box?
Just so I understand. As the drive runs on its own NVME chipset you don't need to set any NVME settings in the bios right? As the bios settings only control the motherboard chipset.
Ok thx Shilohh. Shame this card only has 1 internal 20 pin connector. I guess I'll need to buy a separate pcie card to support an additional internal 20pin connection.
Alrighty guys. I can confirm that the INATECK card I purchased also worked straight out of the box after making a new DSDT, all USB3 ports are working presto
Question : is it possible to buy y-split to accommodate 2 x internal 20pin connections?
I also believe this card is not compatible.
I have ordered the inateck instead and waiting for its delivery. Will report back soon.
I will redo my DSDT once installed, thx.
Happy 2016 all !!
Okay so i installed the PCI card with no hassle. System Profiler is showing the HUB I think as installed ?
However, when I insert a USB card it doesn't show up ?
Do I need to install a separate KEXT? or do i need to re-run my DSDT ?
Thanks!
